  May 2007 Israel News Review
  5/30/2007 • Jerusalem
Here is this month’s Israel news and analysis report, focusing on the political shockwaves rocking Israel after government leaders came under scathing criticism by an official commission set up to examine last year’s war with Hizbullah forces in Lebanon. Of course, renewed Hamas rocket attacks upon Israel’s Negev region and Israel’s military response is also covered, along with the leadership election in the Israeli Labour party, which signals that the current Defense Minister’s days as head of that vital ministry are definitely numbered. I recently received notice that my DVD, FOR ZION'S SAKE: REPORTING FROM THE LAND OF THE BIBLE will be broadcast again by popular demand on the US Sky Angel Two network on Saturday, June 9th at 11:30 PM east coast time, 8:30 PM in the west.
  April 2007 Israel News Review
  4/22/2007 • Jerusalem
Click below for the latest Israel news and analysis report covering important happenings in April. It focuses this month on the real prospect of war between Syria and Israel in the coming months, with Israeli leaders now openly warning that such a conflict seems to be brewing. I also look briefly at a few other important news events affecting Israel and the Palestinians.
  March 2007 Israel News Review
  3/26/2007 • Jerusalem
Below is this month’s news and analysis report, covering important occurrences during March in Israel and the Middle East. The new Hamas-run Palestinian government is examined, along with a growing leadership crisis in Israel and increasing signs that fresh military clashes between Israel and several of her declared enemies are brewing in the troubled region. I am now doing regular “Eye on the Middle East” radio commentary updates for the Friends of Israel American group, broadcast during “Janet Parshall’s America” program twice weekly over the Salem Broadcasting Network, and also carried by several other networks in the US. The reports, normally broadcast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, can also be heard via the FOI website, at http://resources.christianity.com/default/fois.aspx FOI director Dr. Elwood McQuaid produces the daily reports on other weekdays. Meanwhile I continue to report weekly for the Moody Broadcasting Network’s “Prime Time America” program, usually on Monday’s, and also for the Saturday “Prophecy Today” radio program hosted by Jimmy DeYoung. Both updates can also be accessed anytime on their web sites.
  JESUS TOMB: FACT OR FICTION?
  3/14/2007 • WorldNetDaily
Here is my latest commentary for the World Net Daily web site. It concerns the recent claim that the ancient family tomb of Jesus of Nazareth has been discovered in my old Jerusalem neighborhood, East Talpiot. In fact, I note that I lived virtually next door to the supposed site for some 15 years before moving to central Jerusalem in 2001. The commentary features some news released just today concerning the controversy, emanating from a local Christian scholar who is a longtime acquaintance of mine. Meantime I recently learned that a US media interview broadcast last summer has been posted on the popular YouTube web site. It was sparked by the discovery of an ancient book of Psalms in an Irish bog, found open to Psalm 83. I note that I’ve written a chapter on that prophetic psalm in my book ISRAEL IN CRISIS: WHAT LIES AHEAD?   February 2007 Israel News Review
  2/26/2007 • Jerusalem
The February news and analysis report focuses on the PLO-Hamas agreement to form a new Palestinian unity government in an attempt to halt momentum toward civil war. Israeli and world reaction to the accord is examined, and how the pact might affect the regional balance of power. Meanwhile renewed Palestinian terrorist violence is detailed, along with escalating tensions along the Israeli borders with Lebanon and Syria. Finally I report on an upcoming celestial event in March that some rabbis believe might signal divine intervention in the ongoing Israeli struggle against the radical theocratic Shiite regime ruling Iran.
  January 2007 Israel News Review
  2/1/2007 • Jerusalem
Click here for my latest monthly news and analysis report covering the first month of 2007. It features a warning from the Israeli army that regional conflict involving Syria, Lebanon, the Palestinians and Iran is likely later this year, on top of the struggle raging in Iraq.
  December 2006 Israel News Review
  12/26/2006 • Jerusalem
Click here for this month’s Israel news and analysis report, covering major developments during the month. As usual, there is lots of news to convey. The threat of a full civil war between rival Palestinian groups keeps growing as the ceasefire with Israel further frays. All this as Iran continues to breathe out threats of annihilation against Israel—indicating a very interesting year ahead! I wish for a peaceful and productive 2007 for all of you!
  SACRIFICING ISRAEL
  12/9/2006 • WorldNetDaily
Click here for my latest WND commentary, concerning the Iraq Study Group report that advocates the rapid establishment of a Palestinian state and Israel's evacuation from the strategic Golan Heights, plus a new regional peace conference involving Syria and Iran. I explain why I was dubious about the US-led campaign in Iraq from the start, and that I anticipated it might lead to the eventual weakening of American support for Israel--the only true democracy in the turbulent Middle East.
  November 2006 Israel News Review
  11/27/2006 • Jerusalem
My latest monthly Israel news and analysis report focuses on the intense military struggle between IDF and Palestinian Hamas forces during November, and the subsequent ceasefire that has calmed the situation—at least temporarily. I examine the prospects for the ceasefire to hold long term, and also take a look at extremely ominous developments during November in Lebanon, Syria and Iran that many analysts predict could spark a new regional war next year.
