  July 2008 Israel News Update
  7/27/2008 • Jerusalem
This month’s news and analysis report covers the controversial prisoner swap between Israel and the Lebanese Hizbullah group, along with important developments concerning Iran and Hamas, and the likely upcoming ouster of Ehud Olmert as Prime Minister. No report was posted for June due to technical difficulties encountered while traveling outside of Israel.
  MAY 2008 ISRAEL NEWS REVIEW
  5/26/2008 • Jerusalem
Click for this month’s Israel news review and analysis report, covering the most important developments in the country and region during May. I focus this time on the real prospect that a major Israeli military operation is pending in the Gaza Strip, and what such a conflict might look like. This comes after a series of horrendous rocket and mortar attacks this month that left a number Israelis dead or critically wounded. I also examine indirect Hamas-Israel ceasefire talks going on simultaneously in Cairo, along with the recent news that peace negotiations are taking place in Turkey between Israel and Syria. All this comes as the Prime Minister is facing possible indictment on criminal charges in the coming weeks, which would force him from office.

  TRIBUTE TO ISRAEL
  5/14/2008 • Jerusalem
Here is my personal tribute to the remarkable country I call home, Israel, born 60 years ago this evening. It was published today on the World Net Daily web site. I hope you enjoy it. My monthly news report will be sent to you the last week of this month, focusing on the prospect that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will be soon forced out of office due to criminal suspicions against him, ongoing Palestinian rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip, and the violent and ominous Hizbullah takeover of increasing portions of Lebanon.
  APRIL 2008 ISRAEL NEWS REVIEW
  4/25/2008 • Jerusalem
CLICK for this month’s Israel news review and analysis report, sadly featuring fresh violence in and around the Gaza Strip amid mounting evidence that Israeli military forces will soon be sent into action to uproot the mushrooming Hamas militia from the small coastal zone. Most Israeli security analysts say they expect such a conflict—which all agree will be very difficult and probably take many lives—to begin before the end of summer. Much talked about prospects for war with Hizbullah, Syria and possibly even Iran are also examined in this month's report. Meanwhile the country is due to be visited by many international dignitaries to help Israelis celebrate their sixtieth anniversary as a modern state. I am privileged to say that I have lived in this special land for nearly half of that time. My six page feature overview article on Israel’s remarkable history will be included in the special May issue of the Jerusalem Post Christian Edition.
  WAR JITTERS ROCK ISRAEL
  4/3/2008 • Jerusalem
Israeli media reports of possible imminent conflict with Syria and/or Lebanese Hizbullah militia forces continue to spread like wildfire. This comes as Defense Minister Barak cancelled a scheduled trip next week to deal with the growing crisis.
  MARCH 2008 ISRAEL NEWS REVIEW
  3/25/2008 • Jerusalem
Click here for my Israel news and analysis report, covering the main news events in the land and region during March—a month overflowing with important developments. The worst ever Hamas rocket assault upon Israel and the army’s response tops the news, along with the terror massacre in Jerusalem and new tensions with Hizbullah in the north.
  AL GORE FOR PRESIDENT?
  3/13/2008 • WorldNetDaily
Here is my latest commentary for the World Net Daily web site, published there last weekend. It looks at this month's intense violence in and around the Gaza Strip, and also which current US presidential candidate might be best for Israel. I propose that the final Democratic pary candidate might end up being...former Vice President Al Gore! Read on for more details...
  FEBRUARY 2008 ISRAEL NEWS REVIEW
  3/10/2008 • Jerusalem
Click here for my February Israel news and analysis report, which focuses on the tense situation in the Gaza Strip and the killing of a notorious Hizbullah military commander who plotted some of the world's deadliest terror attacks. The Damascus incident produced a fresh flood of annihilation pledges against Israel by Iranian leaders who backed the terrorist. Meanwhile Israeli military and political leaders warned that a major regional conflict that could threaten Israel’s very existence might erupt sometime this year.
  JANUARY 2008 ISRAEL NEWS REVIEW
  1/28/2008 • Jerusalem
Click for my latest news and analysis report from Jerusalem. It covers the most important developments during a very busy news month in Israel and the region, including the visit by US President George W. Bush and the dramatic reverberations it set off in the shaky Israeli coalition government and on the Palestinian street. The current upheaval in the Gaza Strip, which could lead to a major Israeli military operation against Hamas forces who took over the coastal zone last year, is also examined.
